Organising a fundraising event can be both rewarding and worthwhile and a fun thing to do. No matter how much you raise, you can be sure that you are helping us make a real difference. So get creative and think about what you might like to do. Some ideas could be:
  • Involve your local community group or school in our charitable activities
  • Challenge yourself with a sponsored walk or run or bike ride and get fit at the same time as raising money
  • Suggest a coffee morning at your local community centre, church or school
  • Organise a bring and buy sale
  • Have a social evening and raise money at the same time through a raffle
Corporate volunteering is a fantastic way for companies to make a positive social impact in their local community. As a local charity we can offer you excellent opportunities to work with a caring organisation committed to improving the lives of carers. This can encompass both financial and non financial long term support and benefits both your company and Carers Trust Tyne and Wear. We are currently looking for enthusiastic support in the following areas of activity:
  • Gardening work to maintain and improve the surrounding grounds on our site here at Highfield.
  • DIY enthusiasts to paint indoors and outdoors
  • Fundraisers
  • Training in marketing and social media skills
  • Training in information technology
Read about our successful partnerships here. Our thanks go to all of the companies who have supported us over the years and particular thanks go to Tesco Bank for their support with the development of Kites Rise [link to internal Kites Rise development photos] and J N Bentleys for their support in developing the Kites Rise garden.[link to development of Kites Rise garden].
Involving your employees in our charitable activities is not only fun, but also a great way to project a positive image, motivate your staff, develop leadership skills and organisational abilities, and encourage team building whilst at the same time raising money to support us.
