Short Breaks for Adult Carers
Crossroads Care Services provide a range of flexible, individualised short breaks to meet the needs of carers and the people they care for.
We provide services to clients of all ages, all with very different health / disability needs.
A short break may last a few hours, a day, an evening, overnight or longer. Short breaks can take place in the family home, in the community, in our care centre or in Kites Rise, our unique respite centre.
We understand that a Short Break needs to be easy to access, flexible and available in an emergency. So……….we’re flexible – it’s about what you need to help you in your caring role.
Our care services are regulated by the Care Quality Commission.
The range of services we provide are detailed below:
Traditional Home-based Service
Trained staff come into your home, step into your shoes and give you a break from the day-to-day stresses of caring.
Community based Service
As a Carer you have the chance to spend time in your own home whilst the person you care for accesses an activity of their own choice.
Take a Break
Helps carers to think and plan how to take a break from their caring role and re-charge their batteries.
The Old School Care Centre provides day time respite breaks for carers of older people, by supporting the person they care for in our homely, friendly and safe care centre.
“Bridge the Gap” Sessions
When “college is out” book your young person (aged between 18 and 25) in for one of our sessions operating 10am—3.30pm Monday and Fridays, during summer holidays.
Kites Rise is a specific short break respite provision for young adults with learning disabilities in Gateshead (aged between 18 and 30).
