Take Out Service
This service enables the carer to spend time in their own home whilst the person they care for accesses an activity of their own choice. This could simply be a walk in the community, a structured activity, such as bowling, or a trip to the Metrocentre or Newcastle. Any take-out expenses incurred will be paid by the client/carer.
We’re flexible – It’s about what you need to help you in your caring role.
We provide services to clients of all ages, all with very different health / disability needs. There is no limitation regarding age, diagnosis or personal circumstance.
Our Carer Support Workers are trained to NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care. They support the person with care needs to access appropriate activities of their choice, following risk assessment, provide practical, personal and specialized care to support the people you care for, allowing you to have that much needed break. For your added security and peace of mind, all of our staff have been checked by the Disclosure and Barring system (DBS).
The Care Service is registered with the Care Quality Commission. This ensures our services are fit for purpose.
"Sarah’s parents are able to spend some quality time with their other children."Sarah is in her mid-twenties and has learning disabilities. She has communication difficulties and needs support to maintain her safety while accessing the community. Sarah’s parents both work and struggle to maintain a healthy balance between work, the demands of family life and caring for Sarah. We provided a trained worker to support Sarah to access her local community. Sarah attends Zumba class every Monday evening, followed by tea in the local pub.
