Hours: 28 hours per week Subject to availability – School holidays, evenings and weekends
Salary: £22880 – Grant Funded by – The Lottery – Community Fund
Contract length: 3 years fixed term – With the opportunity to be extended depending on funding.

Overall, Purpose of the Job:
To develop, organisation and deliver activities for Young Carers.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Planning and delivery of age appropriate indoor and outdoor activities for Young Carers in line with funder requirements.
2. Communicate with partner organisations for specific projects.
3. Keep accurate information regarding Young Carers Activities and provide the Finance Manager with reports.
4. Complete evaluation forms pertaining to activities and pass on relevant information concerning Young Carers.
5. Encourage and support the participation of Young Carers in activities.
6. Supervise Young Carers when travelling to and from activities.
7. Ensure the Young Carer’s welfare is paramount and assess risk when delivering activities in line with Health and Safety guidelines.
8. Always comply with Carers Trust Tyne and Wears policies and procedures.
9. Such other duties commensurate with the grade of the post that may be required.
