Carers Trust Tyne and Wear was established in 1990. We support children and adults in Gateshead who have caring responsibilities for someone who is frail or has a chronic illness, disability or addiction. You will sometimes hear them referred to as carers, unpaid carers or caregivers. In reality, they’re the parents, children, partners, family and friends of loved ones who could not manage without their support.
We’re looking for trustees that share our vision of a better life for carers. While not a requirement, we would particularly welcome applicants with experience of:
• Being a carer
• Working in the care sector
• Working with children and / or young people
• Finance or accountancy
• Business management
• Fundraising
